ME AND MY BEAUTIFUL FLAMEBIRD CASSI ♥♥♥♥ I am so so soooo happy with how we looked in these!! we look like total badasses imma cry 8') thank you so much for taking such awesome shots of us Carroll!!!!

Anyway WOW was this costume ever an undertaking!! You can't tell here (you'll be able to in other pictures!) but my cape is 12 yards of fabric!!! It has 5 points and 4 arches, and drags on the ground slightly, since I wanted to stay as close to the New design as possible! My mask is Leather, made by ravenwood masks borrowed from my darling Cassi! my gloves are pleather on the top and spandex on the bottom, which I sewed seams into to look more like her gloves. My belt/pouches are all made out of pleather as are the base of my gauntlets, while the belt buckle and blades on my arms are made from styrene. My boots started out black and I painted them with leather paint, my leggings and top I made myself. This is definitely one of the hardest costumes I've made in a while, I'm super generally pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was my first time doing something like this. I'd like to remake the gloves in the future but besides that everything worked out really well!!

All the pain and strife of making this costume was totally worth it because DANG DO I LOVE BATWOMAN Kate Kane is a total mess but I adore her and find her very inspiring. Despite her being kind of an emotional wreck most of the time she always pulls her shit together to help people and fight bullshit cults and SHE SOLIDERS ON

This is freaking awesome! well done, I think Batwoman is the best comic in the New 52 and only because the story line is left over from the old DC? I don't think I've ever seen a better Flamebird, ya need a villain someone to play the Hook or Alice? now that would be another level of epic.
