New York comic con is coming up in about 3-4 weeks and it looks like this'll be what I'm wearing!!! If I have time I might wear Super Girl but we'll see what happens! NYCC is REALLY inconvenient for changing into costume :T

This was my second Panty costume based on the original artwork Gainax released when they announced the series before it had actually come out, and I'm really proud of how it turned out. I made the hat out of faux suede and interfacing, hand sewed the bulk of it together, painted pins to match the reference image, bought a white tank top and lined it in white jersey, bought a bunch of gold chains and beads to make the necklace and jewelry myself, made the brown belt out of vinyl and had grommets put in, made the belt buckle out of aluminum, bought shorts then took them in, added studs and buttons for the designs, and for the shoes painted a pair then made top covers which I studded and sewed on.

Panty's character really means a lot to me, she's a lot more than just a HURF DURF dumb slut the way a lot of people think of her, which is not to say that she isn't a dumb slut, because....she is, but that's not all there is to her. The last few episodes of the series were so fucking perfect and beautiful and I genuinely wish I could live my life more like Panty. Being unapologetic about doing the things that make you happy, and being who you are with no hang ups and not taking responsibility for other people's problems is something a lot of people, myself included, should learn how to do. A women is meant to live free as a bird~

I finally have my otakon schedule set in stone! This is what's going down guys, I hope to see you all there!! I'll be working in the Dealers room when I'm wearing Stocking at the Funimation booth! I can't wait to get on that pole, I'm so excited ;3; I hope everyone who's going is ready and not stressing about costumes!! This weekend is gonna be so much fun aaaaah~*(*´∀｀*)☆

Fanime was super fun, I got to see all my favorite people and managed to wear a ridiculous number of costumes! I'm so excited to get pictures back eeeeeeeeiiiii!! HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE GAINAX. Anime Boston came and went and was a complete and total BLAST! I haven't had that much fun at a con in ages c: Unfortunately I didn't get to wear all of my costumes (Bunny Haruko with the Bass Lionel made for me and Momoka's Romper) but I had so much fun it didn't really matter! Here's some preview shots of a couple of the costumes I wore last weekend~










I'm so excited to get pictures back!! Especially of Rouge *A* That was basically a dream costume from my childhood come true for me, I'm so glad I got to wear her!! Looking ahead I'm going to be making Misato's black dress for a friend, and doing a Mari commission for Sakura Matsuri in two weeks, along with making Asuka's yellow sundress for myself! My machine needs to be taken in to get fixed right now so I hope I have time for everything! (and once I'm done I need to get started on fanime stuff waaaaaaaah~!!!)

Spring break is coming up, and I'm gonna SEW MY BUTT OFF in preparation for AnimeBoston! I'm super excited for all my costumes, and I'm trying something new with my Momoka bunny suit, which will hopefully make me MEGA CURVY so we'll see how that works out.
